they offer all property-related services under one roof. The successful and growing organisation have an interesting opportunity for a Development & Investment Agency Assistant to join their established and growing team Northamptonshire.
The Role
The development and investment agency department provides developer and investor clients with high level consultancy advice. The department deals with acquisition and disposal of large development sites and high-value investment properties nationwide. In order to continue to provide a high quality of advice to clients the business are looking to recruit a new member to the team.
This is a new and exciting role that could quickly bring significant responsibility and profile within the business. Initially, it will be an assistant role working alongside the head of department, however, the role would suit somebody with ambition to develop their expertise and progress within the business.
Duties will include assisting with property marketing, including assisting with client
reporting, undertaking viewings and negotiations etc, undertaking research and analysis and presenting the data for clients or colleagues. In addition, following up on leads to develop opportunities for additional work and adhoc tasks associated with the running of various workstreams and according to the needs of the business.
The Person
The successful individual will have a strong interest in commercial property, preferably with some experience either with a surveying practice, developer or property company. They will be self-motivated and keen to develop their skills and knowledge of this specialised area and will have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for delivery will be key.
The individual must have strong analytical skills and an ability to organise data, an understanding of the fundamentals of investment and development from the outset is an advantage. Experience with specialised property software packages (such as Argus) would be advantageous.
The role will include direct client reporting at a high level and therefore requires the individual to be confident and professional with the ability to communicate clearly whether in person, on the telephone or in writing.
It is likely that the successful candidate will be educated to degree level but practical experience and evidence of ability and capability are of greatest importance. Membership of the RICS is helpful but not essential, the role is considered suitable for a recently qualified chartered surveyor who has ambitions to operate within the investment and development field.
